About Us
Ottawa Addiction Treatment Services and Interventions
My decision to start Ottawa Addiction Treatment Services and Interventions was, in part, fueled by the frustration I often hear from families and clients I support attempting to navigate a complex system, trying to find a starting point for services and information such as wait times for funded treatment centres in Ottawa or Ontario, or wait times for admission to withdraw management. Is there help for my anxiety, depression, drinking, gambling or substance use? Sometimes the question is, do I need help?
Families are often faced with confronting loved ones with their substance abuse and are not sure if they are helping in the long term or enabling the person they care about. We can help you learn how to support your family member during active addiction, during treatment and after treatment.

Meet Tim Deloughery
Born and raised in the Ottawa Valley, counselling has always been close to my heart. I started my addiction counselling journey after attending treatment myself in 2005 and have pursued learning as much as I can about addiction since that period in my life.
For over 20 years I have worked in the Health Services Sector, including over 10 years working for treatment centers and hospitals in positions ranging from Addiction Counsellor to Director of Programming. I have helped create some of the best evidenced-based addiction programs in Ontario.
I am a Canadian Certified Addiction Counsellor (CCAC) and Certified Clinical Supervisor-Addiction Counsellor (CCS-AC) in good standing with Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation, in addition to being a Certified Non-Violent Crisis Interventionist with The Crisis Prevention Institute. In 2012 I completed a Diploma in Addiction Studies and a Diploma in Counselling.
Despite having struggled with addiction in the past, I have learnt that what works for me is abstinence and trying to maintain balance in life. For exercise and fresh air, I have become an avid cross country skier, slalom water skier, cyclist and hiker. More recently, a friend suggested I join Instagram where I attempt to document life’s adventures. I live in Ottawa with my beautiful wife, Laurel.
