OutPatient Treatment Ottawa
(currently on hold due to COVID-19 but will restart in accordance with Public Health Guidelines). Outpatient programs run for four (4) weeks with an inclusive cost of $2,500 for the month.
Ottawa Addiction Treatment Services located in Britannia Beach area offers evening outpatient treatment for those who cannot attend in-patient addiction treatment due to family obligations or work commitments. If this is the case, our outpatient services may be ideal for you or your loved one.

All clients are urine screened during the admission process and prior to completion. Clients must agree to abstinence while attending the outpatient support groups.
The schedule for outpatient treatment is as follows:
Anxiety/Depression: Monday 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. During this group you will discover more about the symptoms of anxiety and depression and the relationship between thoughts, sensations and emotions. You will also discover how substance abuse contributes to these symptoms. By the time you graduate, you will be able to recognize maladaptive ways of thinking and develop healthy ways to cope with anxiety and depression.
Managing Emotions: Tuesday 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm This group helps you learn healthy ways to manage intense emotions. Recognizing a feeling as it happens, and being aware of mood and thoughts about that mood. Handling your own feelings and expressing them appropriately. Recognizing how your emotions affect others. You will learn the difference between thoughts and emotions and how to regulate emotions.
Co-Dependency: Wednesday 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. In this group, you will learn more about healthy relationships, and how we often excessively rely on others or they rely on us. Codependency refers to a psychological construct involving an unhealthy relationship that people might share with those closest to them. Such behavior can prevent others from becoming independent or learning from their mistakes. Learn more about boundaries and you will learn ways to develop healthier, rewarding relationships that can enhance your sense of self.
Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention: Thursday 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. This group covers an array of topics such as general discussions about addiction, and why we become addicted in the first place. The core learning of this group focuses on preventing the return to previous behaviour, in this case, preventing returning to the use of substances or process addictions to cope with life. Mindfulness Relapse Prevention will help via increased awareness, regulation, and tolerance of potential precipitants of relapse, mindfulness may enhance ability to cope with relapse triggers, interrupting the previous cycle of automatic substance use behavior.
